About Matthew

Matthew D. Burnham is a graphic designer, web developer, and aspiring author-illustrator whose creative journey began in childhood, sketching characters and crafting stories at his drafting table in Mobile, Alabama. His passion for visual storytelling led him to earn a degree in Graphic Design from the University of Alabama, followed by a successful career in advertising, where his work earned multiple awards from the Alabama Press Association.

Matthew later transitioned into web development, combining design and technology to support U.S. Navy servicemen and women with tools that helped empower their success. Yet through every chapter of his career, he’s continued to build imaginative worlds and unforgettable characters; many of which now fill the pages of his sketchbooks.

Today, Matthew lives in Pensacola, Florida with his family, where he’s pursuing his lifelong dream of becoming a published author-illustrator. His work blends whimsical visuals with heartfelt narratives, inviting young readers into hidden worlds where curiosity and creativity reign.
